TOPEKA -- Authorities say two Topeka police officers have been shot outside a grocery store and that their injuries appear life-threatening.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the officers were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Police spokeswoman Kristen Veverka tells the newspaper that the officers suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to a hospital.
Police Lt. Ron Gish says the officers arrived to the scene outside the grocery store Sunday evening in two separate vehicles.
A third officer who was also there was not injured.

(28,498 posts)This is happening all over.
But I've had it! I have maybe two more years to work until I can get the minimum in a pension and SS.
I had it! I want out and am looking to "retire" in a foreign country that I can afford. And a foreign country that doesn't have these kind of problems.
I turn 60 next month and really don't know what to do!
