What does it say about a country when guns are legal

but bullet-proof vests and body armor are not?

The gun situation in the US cannot be the legislative product of a civil society, it is a divisive and fear-creating absurdity foisted upon citizens to make an endless war economy less incomprehensible, IMHO.

It is just too insane that if you are so afraid of being shot by all these gun-toting morons that you have to get a gun for protection rather than armor.

(I know I know, the police and military need such an edge against US citizens, and so it goes?)

not sure how many off the top of my head.

I will agree it is ludicrous to put restriction on a passive self defense item that you would have to try very hard to injure someone using it as a weapon.
