We're now at the point where these tragedies are so frequent that I think this video was a good use of taxpayer money.

(11,916 posts)And ever since VA Tech, we have a similar video that has been pushed by HR as required viewing by incoming faculty, staff, and students. So far, it seems to be optional for employees who have been here awhile. We also have instituted a more robust emergency alert system.

This would be a really good example of an 'end based solution'. And while I rationally understand that this is timely information that people most likely need, I can still be a little sick to my stomach that we do.
