When this nation finally bans assault weapons, do not blame any elected official

It will be the fault of all these lone gunmen who have slaughtered innocent people, many of them children. It will be a nation that has finally had enough of this senseless killing, the mass killings and the daily street shootings that will have caused the ban.

It will be a knee-jerk reaction by many to simply blame the administration in power at the time of the eventual ban. Make no mistake about it, it will be the result of the nation reaching a breaking point and demanding that something be done.

2. I had thought it would have been the Gabby Gifford shooting.

Then my guess would have been a mass shooting by a racist militia. I was wrong, it was the deaths of 20 children.

3. I think they should blame themselves.

Lets face it. The gun nutters should have been the first to actively support a comprehensive gun control policy. They should be the first to react at every gun tragedy. They should be there to help the families. There are many countless ways they could be involved in victims rights.

That would have been the best way to protect their precious.

But alas, talking sense to a gun nutter is like trying to read a book to a dog.
