We're all talking about assault weapons. Google looks for keywords and feeds ads under the assumption we are "interested" in this subject. It is up to the admins to manually block these type of ads.

I never knew....I'm not kidding, I use Firefox and Ad Blocker Plus and never knew there were ads on this site....

We only hear the reports from people who don't have stars or who, if they have a star, aren't logged in to DU when they see the ad.

Either way websites rarely have any real control over what ads appear on them, that process is mostly automated and handled by keywords in text.
