I walked Josie to her class today

Little elementary school kids moving about. I saw lots of parents doing the same. Lots of nods to one another.

Josie asked me twice, "Why are you walking me to class?"
"I just am" I said.
I usually walk her to the front of the school through "Where the wild things are" ( a group of pine trees ), give her a kiss, and tell her "Be cool and be yourself" and send her off on her day.

We watched the 5th grader raise the flag.

I got back in the car and Elvis was signing a Christmas song.

My daughter's bus (first grade) is usually full and today there was only 1 child on it.

My son's bus (sixth grade) is also usually full and today completely empty.

Vacation begins Wednesday but I don't think that's the reason.
