Maybe guns are addictive. I've heard that

porn is addictive. Maybe there is something similar happening with guns. I read here some gunners would give up things most of us feel more than gun ownership before they would even entertain changing anything that is related to their gun culture.
Why is that? Why are guns so important?
It has to be connected to some fear of something. What I read here from gunners seems irrational most of the time. The bullying, the insults, the group gunner posts are not effective here anymore. Yet they will not give the slightest thought toward introspection.
I am hopeful that as the days go on from here, gunners will see that joining the rest of us on discussion on how to reduce gun violence is in their best interest.

Some are gun nuts and some are not. Lump any and all gun owners into one group is silly.

cases of gun collecting - I am thinking of the compiling of what a reasonable person would call an arsenal as opposed to, say, a collection of Civil War rifles - the potential for mayhem is infinately greater than for a collector of stamps or rare first edition books.
I think there's a place for the collection of historic firearms but not for amassing a lethal arsenal of fully functional state-of-the-art firearms.
