"Consider Your Man Card Re-Issued"

That's the caption on an ad for the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle, the firearm used in the Connecticut school bloodbath. Saw it on "Slate" online magazine this morning. I keep thinking that my level of outrage and revulsion has peaked out---and I keep getting proved wrong.

researched by ad men who learned what does and doesn't sell guns. Fear of "losing your man card" probably is an effective message for gun buyers. There's more real truth in that ad than all the NRA talking points combined.
