Woman found shot to death in Grand Rapids apartment; young son 'thought she was sleeping'
GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 20-year-old woman as a homicide after neighbors found her unresponsive in her apartment Saturday.
Officers were called to Walnut Grove Apartments in the 700 block of Dorchester Avenue SW about 4 p.m. on Dec. 15 after neighbors found the woman dead in her apartment with her son who is between the ages of 2 and 3.
