My guess is

Nothing will change. Too many in this country are more concerned with THEIR right to kill being protected whether it be on a screen or elsewhere then they are to face the fact that we have a problem. You mention that video games, or Hollywood, or guns themselves need to be regulated and the uproar is so loud and so forceful that we will never win. Sanity lost a long time ago.
