Access to psychiatric care isn't the biggest problem imho

It is the nature of the psychiatric care that one gets when they do have access. It's all about the meds. Psychiatrists themselves don't like being turned into drug dispensers, but it is the only care that the health insurance companies will pay for, no doubt in part because of the role the pharmas play in the equation.

I think that the time is ripe for an overhaul to our approach to psychiatry itself. Fuck just focusing on a biochemical treatment! The pharmas push this because it is what makes them tons of money.

If we really want to try to address mental health, this is where the focus will be.
