Teachers cant give our kids an Aspirin but they should be armed and trained to take out a gunman?

The best comeback for the "arm the teachers" argument I saw this weekend on twitter.

I love how many people think that having a gun and a ccw permit are the same as having adequate training for stopping a gunman. I used to work in federal investigations and was thoroughly trained to defend and assault with several different weapons. It's not easy folks.

This isnt a pro or anti argument, just a wity comeback for the "arm the teachers" argument that you might hear from some being bantered about. Feel free to use it or not.

Carry on

Kids aren't supposed to take aspirin. Any school nurse would tell you that. JVS Dec 2012 #2
And educators shouldn't be soldiers. At least not in a sane country. nt bayareamike Dec 2012 #3
They can't give your kids Tylenol, either. gkhouston Dec 2012 #5
That's because aspirin is dangerous to children and guns aren't. kestrel91316 Dec 2012 #4

Not unless you fill out a form, signed by a doctor, indicating that that is part of an ongoing drug regimen (including diagnosis) and the kid can't somehow take it before or after school. If your kid gets sick during the school day and starts running a temperature, they won't get anything to reduce that fever until you pick them up... unless your kid or his/her friends have Tylenol on them... which is also forbidden.
