School shooting/public sector pay

Along with many other thoughts, one thing I keep thinking is this - The next time someone makes a comment about how teachers cost so much money and that their pay and benefits should be cut and teacher's unions need to "broken" I'm going to say, "F**k you! We don't pay teachers enough when they clearly risk their lives every day in this violence loving society! Were the teachers shot in CT 'too expensive' or 'not worth it'? Not only do you expect teachers to babysit, teach, and socialize kids but they increasingly take their lives in their own hands when they go into the classroom! Don't you DARE try to claim that teaching isn't hard or that they get the summers off or any other bullshit like that - teachers DIED and they DIED trying to protect children who people like you say they are paid too much to protect. So I suggest you just shut up permanently about your bullshit attacks on teachers cause it just makes you look like that much more of a a$$hole."

Not that I would need one more reason to tell people who have that attitude to shut up but this just adds one more reason to be pissed at those people.
