Expect them to say, "see, we told you so!".

I don't think this was fully on Obama's agenda, but it is now - and because the gun nuts have proved spectacularly, in a string of incidents culminating in this recent, most tragic, one, that relying on everyone with a gun to be responsible is a failed premise.

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

If the point of the right to keep and bear arms is for the purpose of ensuring a well-regulated militia, methinks we're going to need more regulation of our "militia". 'Cause there's damned little now. I have to register my vehicle, fer chrissakes, which is meant for transportation, but guns, which are meant for killing don't even need to be registered in many states. You have to (and properly so) go through a lot of training and testing for a driver's license (particularly before age 18), but to own a gun? Damned little, for an item that is good only for killing and nothing else.
