Moronic gun debates that distract everybody from the real problem.

I really don't give a happy damn about David Gregory and his prop. It should be quietly looked into and the appropriate action taken.

But noooooooooo!
We have a full-blown crisis that must be discussed because Breitbug or whoever has a clip up his a**.
I am sure Chief Cathy Lanier has much more important items to attend to, no?

The debate is about guns and what to do about access to them, checks on people who want them, and other points.

Meh!

Focus our attention on an emotional and bitterly divisive problem...while the banksters and their politician sockpuppets work to preserve the status quo...works every time.

Otherwise there wouldn't be a debate. Let the chips fall where they may but the tree will land on some low level staffer as someone so helpfully and correctly suggested just now.

The gun issue is really fascinating here because it divides DU up along different fault lines than the usual ones. I pretty much know where most of the regulars stand on most issues but watching the last week plus has been illuminating. A couple of times I've caught myself agreeing with people that I normally completely disagree with and it makes me reexamine what I'm thinking.
