would probably involve people actually realising that the USA isn't in fact the Chuck Norris of nations. As long as a significant number of Americans (perhaps even a majority) still think the USA is the most super-awesome bestest country on earth because by god we're AMERICAN! And we have FREEDOM! then you can expect that evidence to the contrary will be ignored and denied and if you bring it up you'll be asked "why do you hate America?" and called some kind of godless liberal scum.
