Lawrence O'Donnell's Take On The Bible: "Has More Death Penalties In It Than Texas Law"

Lawrence O'Donnell just went after those who believe that homosexuality is a sin because of interpretation of the Bible. He went on to talk about how NO ONE believes the bible literally, word for word, because if people did, "Stake burnings would be happening all day."

He also went on to say that the Bible, which First Lady Michelle Obama, who is a descendant of slaves, will be holding for her husband when he is sworn in, does not include one sentence that condemns slavery.

Isn't he supposed to not believe the insane stuff? As he is doing there?

I know the Bible is full of insane stuff, but a lot of people believe that insane stuff.

And they don't read the insane stuff in the NT either.

I found his selective quoting to be as annoying as what he was complaining about.

And no, he wasn't being satirical. Fundamental atheists when they are prosthelytizing can be just as annoying in their self-righteousness as any other fundamentalism.
