El Paso County sheriff's deputies arrested a Lower Valley couple Monday after they were allegedly caught smoking marijuana in front of their 6-month-old son.
Deputies said members of the sheriff's Strike Team arrested the couple and another woman Monday evening at the San Jose Apartments in the 7800 block of San Jose Road after deputies received a tip about drug activity there.
Ray Gonzalez, 23, Bobbie Lowell, 19, and Lilly Ramirez, 29, each face a charge of possessing less than 2 ounces of marijuana.
Deputies said Gonzalez and Lowell were discovered with the baby in a bedroom filled with heavy marijuana smoke. Deputies reported that marijuana was also found in a bedroom belonging to Ramirez, who lives in the apartment with the couple.
The baby was removed from the apartment and released to a family member. Officials with the Texas Department of Family and Child Protective Services were also notified, deputies said.
Gonzalez, Lowell and Ramirez were booked into the El Paso County Jail, their bonds set at $250 each.
