It seems funny to me that VP Biden's group

recommends that we have more access to information on gun violence when the gunners here on DU can recite every statistic there is and all those stats prove we don't have a gun violence problem in this country.

A rider. So who does the epidemiology in the country for all kinds of things, from alcohol use, to flu deaths to auto deaths? CDC.

What else happened in 1997? Let's see if you can connect the dot here...oh yeah, tobacco company hearings.

Who gathered the data over forty years that cigs were bad? Oh yeah CDC.

FYI, just sent an Email to my congress critter demanding that funding be restored.

But they treat them criminologically rather than epidemiologically, which is a big difference in terms of what actually gets recorded.
