I always want to correct them but then I just remind myself that nothing I say will matter because they have that group think thing happening

And that is what it usually is. People who don't have the benefit of facts and get their "facts" from FOX. When it's so easy to Google the real facts it is disappointing people still choose to be willfully ignorant.

I hate it when I overhear my boss who sits one cube over, discussing politics with a co-worker who is liberal but not very up on actual facts and although seemingly willing to debate politics with the boss doesn't do a good job.

There is no way to work at my desk when that is going on. I have to get out of ear shot.

I make it a point to never discuss politics at work, but someone commented about how her paycheck was smaller--"thanks Obama"--I just said it was a temporary holiday that expired and IMO it was a bad idea in the first place. Since I do payroll I expected to hear more complaints (I sent a warning email). I wanted to say "did you thank him 2 years ago for the extra $$?"
