Crowd kept at a distance but you could hear the cheers when they arrived.

Are you? If so, did you hear the jerk caller bemoaning the POTUS's hand-on-the-Bible moment? Going on to say that "we" still don't know exactly what his religion is.

Why is it that the right wing can't just take the President's word for it? They are basically saying that he is lying. Why the hell would anyone lie about that? Especially the POTUS? And have other Presidents ever been called liars regarding their personal faith choices? I don't think so.

So disrespectful.

We kept hearing how there will be smaller crowds than 4 years ago (just like we kept hearing before the election about how unenthusiastic Obama's base was...heh heh)...so I am skeptical until I get actual confirmation of this meme...

6. I didn't hear actual numbers,

(though that may have been mentioned) but a commentator said something to the effect that this is the 5th largest inaugural crowd in history. Not as large as the 2009 number (which was the highest ever) but still very significant.

-Or at least that is what I heard. Someone please correct me if wrong.
