but the majority of football injuries are to adults who although now rich, often grew up very poor.

But there are a lot of kids in Pop Warner on up who also get injured. And most of those that I see are middle class, at least not the really poor. I don't know what the proportion of poor to the rest is, however.

as does the economic despair of the players on the the field. I wish I could find the study about the economic backgrounds of Division 1 athletes, it is brought up once in a while when the discussion turns to whether or not we should pay college athletes, but I can't...
