Jim Kerrey is more than correct. The "right wing' in this country is not worth protecting. They are the same kind of thugs who don't want universal health care, hate first responders, government employees, and want to cut all domestic programs. In fact I would not pledge allegiance to the flag with them. They have destroyed what represents the good of this country.

A country under their agenda would be a terrible place to live.

6. People knew that a ban would be pushed in the wake of Newtown

Despite the fact that the rifle used was not an "assault weapon" by the 1994-2004 Federal (or current Connecticut) definition, and despite the fact that the AR-15 platform is one of the best-selling rifles in America, people knew that somehow, the definition of "assault weapon" (already arbitrary) would be expanded to sort of ex post facto turn the Fuckwad's gun into an "assault weapon" and banned.

I knew this the day of Newtown. And I knew that challenges to the rationality of such an attempt would be deflected with perjorative terms, pat little talking points, and emotional appeal.


There's nothing wrong with the rifle that is blamed. It's an irrational, emotional feeling, and other people are not going to be swayed by hysteria and moral panic.
