What news channel do you think the majority of Americans watch?

This seems a bit strange to me. Think about your neighbors, friends, etc. I don't know too many people who even watch PBS. I wonder who was polled...

Majority of Americans Trust Just One TV Network

A new Public Policy Polling survey on television news finds that there's only one source more Americans trust than distrust: PBS. 52% of voters say they trust PBS to only 29% who don't trust it.

The other seven outlets polled on are all distrusted by a plurality of voters.

I *trust* PBS, but they don't really do much local news, even on the NPR station. Ian David Feb 2013 #1

For footage of car accidents and house fires, you need to watch your local networks.

Los Angeles car chases and planes with disabled landing gear, you need to watch CNN.

And Current TV doesn't have LIVE footage of federal agents busting pot growers, just the same documentary over and over again.

The Guardian and the BBC always seem to have actual news, not stenography.

When I came back the difference in the TV news that I had gotten used to over there was shocking. From stories that weren't being reported at all to stories reported with such an obvious slant it made me angry, I started to use UK sources on the internet for my news. Our media is an embarrassment, which is sad because it used to be an honorable profession. Now it's just infotainment.

But the bulk of Americans who do watch TV news watch the 3 broadcast networks, each of which outstrip the cable news hours by millions of viewers each night. Collectively, over 20 million watch a network each night, under 5 million watch cable news of any kind. Way under.
But watching and trusting are two different matters.
