NRA's Wayne LaPierre: Buy A Gun Or You Will Be Killed
National Rifle Association president Wayne LaPierre wrote that Americans need to buy firearms in order to ensure their "survival" and urged gun owners to join the NRA and buy more weapons in an unhinged February 13 Daily Caller op-ed.
"Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Riots. Terrorists. Gangs. Lone criminals. These are perils we are sure to face--not just maybe. It's not paranoia to buy a gun. It's survival. It's responsible behavior, and it's time we encourage law-abiding Americans to do just that."

(4,442 posts)His ridiculous argument that we'll all be safer if everyone is armed at all times. I will say it's the first time I've read of anyone citing tornadoes as a reason to tote a gun everywhere they go.

(12,041 posts)I really want to see Wayne LaPierre go out tornado hunting sometime, he can bring Ted Nugent with him. Next time a major hurricane is heading towards our coasts we will have to send them out with their guns to stop it.

(12,799 posts)My husband's best friend is a gun enthusiast. He buys things like gunpowder and whatever a gun hobbyist needs all the time. Hubby accompanied him on one of his regular shopping trips to buy gunpowder after Obama responded to the Sandy Creek tragedy. They went to a national sporting goods chain to get the stuff. Sold out. Couldn't order more. Didn't know when they'd be able to order more.
The scary Obama campaign is definitely a winner for the gun makers.
