Ratzinger and the Vatican knew and did nothing!

If you have access, watch the HBO documentary Mea Maxima Culpa. As someone who has followed the pedophilia reports about the Catholic Church, I had no idea how complicit the Vatican was, and is, in the crimes. It's a must see!!

Or was it just me that wanted them to hail fire and brimstone all down on him?

3. I took it that they couldn't prove more

it made their other facts more powerful to me since they didn't overplay what they had. That's how I took it but I, of course, wanted much more but I hope more will come out.

4. But they portrayed him as good-hearted and just weak

that he didn't do anything because he didn't have the heart to get his fellows in trouble, something like that. It was just icky.

They actually seemed to point the finger more at John Paul, like when they said that the minute he died, some investigation went forward (but didn't end up anywhere).

It is all just disgusting beyond words.

5. Supposedly Ratzinger went after

someone when Pope John Paul lay dying but I got the impression he spent most of his time covering up crimes. The whole thing is disgusting and I get even more outrage when Ratzinger has the nerve to target nuns and pretend he has some moral authority to tell others how to live their lives.

8. Not surprising. Corruption is the Vatican's business. Kids be damned.

The NRA could learn a lot from this repressive bunch.

for providing context for the selection of the new Pope. The College of Cardinals needs to find someone who can stop the bleeding of members and resources and their choice will indicate if they are going to continue their wall of silence and protect the pedophiles or if they will finally see the error of their ways.

I am betting on the former. I don't think 120 old men who don't live in the real world can change their thinking.
