On the big merger - when a mediocre airline (AA) merges with a pretty awful airline (USAir)....

I guess we will get a fairly awful, more expensive bigger airline. Having worked in Pharma for 25 years and survived (and didn't survive, eventually) a number of mergers, I noticed that the most aggressive, negative culture tended to predominate. Each merger made things worse - culture, stock price, job security.

Will we never learn?

Seems doubtful that the merged airline would keep two hubs in NC?

PS-- I guess the RDU hub is gone already....
