Its not his fault he doesnt have a job. Its not his responsibility to pay for the support of his child because he doesnt have a job. Someone else should be responsible. But its not enough for Joe Walsh to deny his own child. He wants to sue a newspaper for, get this, reporting the news that he has filed to change the child support obligation. He is threatening to sue the Chicago Sun Times for their reporting.
Not only is he now a taker instead of a maker but hes also declared himself to be a victim. He is everything he supposedly didnt like. Its amazing how much your perspective changes when its your life at stake and not someone elses. I think most people are rational enough to know that if you didnt have a job to fall back on you might have some financial struggles. But Joe knew early in November that he didnt have a job after January, and he did nothing in those three months to even try to plan ahead. Once the paychecks from the government stopped the child support payments stopped as well. And the ridiculous part of that is his youngest son turns 18 in May, and Walsh wont be financially liable after that point. He couldnt even plan and provide for four more, at the most, months of child support. He is the poster child for everything that is wrong with the Republican Party right now. Demand accountability from everyone else, but lie and deny if it helps you somehow.

(39,909 posts)This SHOULD be spread Far and Wide,
and SHOULD also include his photo.
This should be printed out and put up in WalMarts,
Laundromats,
stapled to telephone poles,
and put under windshield wipers
all over Chicago and Illinois,
but especially wherever Joe lives.
One correction needs to be made:
Walsh is now an EX-Congressman,
but still a current Deadbeat Dad and Major Asshole.

(50,950 posts)First, there needs to be a defined end date, if there isn't child support is required until the court provides the date to end it.
Second, from what I could determine Illinois does not have a statute of limitations on collecting back child support. It use to be 20 years.
I wonder what assets he might have that could be taken?
I hope the newspaper makes life very difficult for him.
