NC lawmaker: Women should ‘duct tape’ nipples to stay out of jail

Real men use Duct tape and I guess women also...

North Carolina Republican state Rep. Tim Moore says that women can protect themselves from a new law that makes baring female breasts illegal by simply applying duct tape to their nipples.

On Wednesday, the state House Judiciary Committee C approved House Bill 34, which makes it a Class H felony to purposefully expose “private parts” for the “purpose of arousing or gratifying sexual desire.”

The bill expands the state’s definition of “private parts” to include a woman’s “nipple, or any portion of the areola.”

Republican state Rep. Rayne Brown told lawmakers that she was co-sponsoring the bill because activists had held a topless women’s rights rally in Asheville last summer, where as many as a dozen women bared their breasts (NSFW video here).

Although Brown’s district is 100 miles from Asheville, she felt it was important to act before women tried to assert their rights again by going topless at another rally.

“You’ve got local governments passing ordinances to protect themselves from just this thing,” she explained. “These folks don’t need to be doing that, but they do it because they’re not sure about the law.”

Under the proposed law, women could spend up to six months in jail for a first offense. “Incidental” nipple exposure by breastfeeding mothers would be exempt from the law.

Democratic state Rep. Annie Mobley said she worried that women wearing “questionable fashions” could be prosecuted under the new rules.

But Committee Chairwoman Rep. Sarah Steven (R) suggested that women could use pasties or nipple coverings just to be safe.

“They’d be good to go” with nipple coverings, Stevens said.

“You know what they say, duct tape fixes everything,” Republican state Rep. Tim Moore agreed.

Then, we have the ones that spout off wacky concepts like they are world travelers and know everything ... and you come to find they've never been outside of the US, not even to Canada or Mexico.

And the Fox News viewers who tell one ... you should never listen to any news broadcast outside of the US because it's ALL propaganda against US. All of this is always a WTF to me.

It's no wonder some in the US are so damn backward, ignorant and disgusting.

people around me. I'm friendly, get along with about anyone unless they are real wackos, and I've been a bit concerned. There are definitely some strange people.

Over the years I've traveled a lot in the US, but over the past decade, or a bit more, it's become pretty strange in some areas IMO. I don't even travel much at night anymore in some areas. The RWingers have really ruined much of this country ... and what really irks me is they talk about less gov., less this, less that and really, they are just the opposite. Many are control freaks, supremacists, seeking power, control and authoritarianism over everyone, at any cost, and many would like to set themselves up as dictators touting their weapons all over the place.

And where RW government has ensued, they are more invasive than anyone. Frankly, I find it all very creepy. Some of America I've written off as places I never want to visit again. I've been in almost every state and worked in many in the better times. Some places have drastically changed IMO, and not for the better.

Many idiots in NC voted for these Republicans because they believed the ads about jobs.

My feeling is, the Pilgrims were asked to leave England. England was never funner than when the Pilgrims split, right? The people of England got a little tired of these dour, right-winged conservative psycho-Christians wearing all black, bumming people out, confusing everyone by wearing buckles on... their heads. "Is that tight enough for you, Cotton?" "Yea, verily.”
