(12,448 posts)On the one hand they fully understand that this insanity is doomed. That it will inevitably bring about disaster so terrible that no one can predict, or really even comprehend, the global consequences of it. Yet, they have enthusiastically jumped in and exploited the insanity to their own benefit.
Do they believe that, if they can get enough before it collapses they will be spared? Or perhaps they think they can do enough good with their ill-gotten gains to make it a wash, that they can buy forgiveness a la Carnegie?

(11,481 posts)If you don't grow and expand, you lose. That's capitalism. So yes, even if you KNOW as a person, that it's unsustainable, the system won't let you do anything other than what you're doing. That's why an overthrow of the capitalist system is needed.

(4,439 posts)sheeple, they won't believe it even if it's smashed in their faces. Poor wretched examples of human beings. Where did their individual minds go? Are some people that susceptible to complete brainwashing?
The GOP will say it's because of everything and anything.... except, the fact that
more tax money coming in = more revenue = less deficit.
