Are these photos proof?
Not sure but I've seen young folks spend thousands of dollars and ignore everything around them while they text.

(41,832 posts)I just bought a big ass gaming computer. I'm 64!
My other desktop is 4 years old and just isn't doing the job.
I also got a new Nokia Lumia Windows phone. I love all the apps. I used one today at the grocery store.
I must have been a sight. A 64 year old woman with my red phone, checking my list etc.

(2,173 posts)We don't use it - we speak to each other. The problem was that my kids' friends were sending them text messages. Whether they answered them or not we were getting charged twenty cents for every one. I don't remember if we had a quota or not, but the charges piled up and really pissed me off so I told them to nuke the entire feature. I know it's a meme, but people of all ages live in a text world when real life is just on the other side of the cell phone.
