"He’s got a better chance of being elected Pope, and he’s not even Catholic."

It’s an old, but true, adage in Washington: Every morning, every U.S. Senator gets up in the morning and looks in the mirror and thinks he or she is looking at the next president of the United States.

OK, maybe that’s a possibility for some senators. But NEVER – for Ted Cruz. He’s got a better chance of being elected Pope, and he’s not even Catholic.

Yet the National Review reports that Cruz is seriously considering running for president in 2016, even though he’s only served in the Senate for four months. And even though, by his arrogance and insults, he’s managed to piss off everyone of his fellow Senators, Republican and Democrat.

Washington Post conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin even called him a jerk.

Well, I just have one suggestion for Ted Cruz. Before he gets too carried away with his own ego….Before he convinces himself he’s just what the country needs….Before he thinks that his success in Texas prepares him for the national stage….

Talk to another Texan who made the same mistake, Teddy boy.

Talk to Rick Perry.

That’s my parting shot for today.
