I am bragging right now!! Burbank couple is at the center of defeating Prop HATE

Jeff Zarrillo and Paul Katami are my neighbors...so to speak.

Their courage in standing up to this hate is admirable and I am grateful to them.

It is a honor to live in the same community with people who are brave and good and have a commitment to justice

LA communities seem to be all over the map in terms of political ideology. compare Santa Monica with Simi Valley, for example.

When I was in eight grade the issue was "Are there four black families in Burbank??? Or FIVE"

I could not wait to get back home after being in the Philipenes to go down to the Mall and see different people.

I hungered for that.

Not that the PI has its different ethnic groups.. the mountain people the sea people.. but all Pinoy!!

I wanted to come back here ... where we are all different.

OK not so much in the hills but in the flats that is where our community finds unity.

I am a HUGE fan of his:

here's part of a DVD review I wrote a couple years ago:
...............Paul is new to me and I found him tough yet encouraging and was happy to see him throw in some quick water breaks between blocks. He's quite handsome too, except for the overly-manicured eyebrows which kept reminding me of Uncle Leo's magic marker eyebrows from a Seinfeld episode.
