Why doesn't current give Keith Olbermann a better set?

He's sitting in darkness for the most part while Jennifer Gramholn (sp?) and The Young Turks have these awesome sets.


Everyone complaining how Keith is acting like a Diva and is ready to jump current. I see a guy who is doing his job sitting in the freakin dark!

KO has had issues with management at ESPN and MSNBC and now there are rumors of the same at Current. I just don't know where they get the money to pay him. And how does his pay affect that of Cenk and Jennifer?

I worked in radio and the top hosts are obnoxious, nice but obnoxious.

Something is up, he's pushing the limits, not wearing a tie, calling people assholes, the black background is a protest.

I think it's odd he's posting on FB all the time - really spills his guts sometimes, but in that business
you push and push, management will get sick of it and push back.

Al Gore is a nice man - trying to do the right thing.

10. Both KO and CURRENT have a mutual "non-disparagement" agreement.

This is why you will never hear CURRENT publicly badmouth him, and you will never hear KO publicly badmouth CURRENT. I believe the penalty for breaking the agreement is pretty severe.

When there are issues, they will be played out in the press by anonymous minions/intermediaries, working on behalf of their principals, but speaking strictly anonymously. No one will step up and say "I, Joe Blow, heard this or saw that." It will always be rumor, innuendo, and third party stuff that hits the papers.

9. I don't like Granholm's set

The fact that everyone has to stand is one thing I don't like but the door behind her and the lock on it bothers me too. I think the fake brick wall with the posters on it is just plain stupid. In some shots it looks like they are in an alley.

and they're having some growing pains. It's still Keith, and he's awesome.

Make-up problems, really?? Rachel, my absolute favorite, has had so much mascara caked on her in the past she's looked like Daisy fricken' Duck!! But I sure as heck don't give a shit about that and I hope no one else does.

I don't know about anyone else, but I love Keith for so many reasons, but most of all for going to bat for us when NO ONE else would, back in the dark days of the Bush years. I will be eternally grateful.

to give up on them because a good left leaning network is just exactly what we need.

17. I think they do okay.

Thom Hartmann deals with like glitches on FSTV as well another struggling nascent news network. He was even broadcasting his show with two lap tops recently because his equipment had gotten wet from a leak. I'm sure KO and Current will come through okay.
