"CALL A PARADE!" An excerpt from the letter I just wrote the President

It took me 3 minutes. A quick note on a postcard:

"Dear President Obama,
These young Americans returning home have seen terrible things. We must welcome them home and show them love. You can make that happen. Please Call A Parade!"

Anyone around in the 70's knows what faces these soldiers when they return home. Culture shock, Post traumatic stress, finding a job and trying to fit into their old lives. We need to welcome our soldiers home. We need to show them they are loved and appreciated.

I'm ashamed that it hasn't already happened! Sports teams get the royal treatment for winning a game... soldiers get.... well, need I say more?

If y'all got a few moments tonight, maybe you can let the President know that you support a parade.

A real big parade with Marine Marching bands and honor guards and with all the Wall Street firms shredding the hell out of everything they can, there is more than enough confetti available.
