1. Because they're investing, not spending.

They're hoping to buy the White House and Congress with their hundreds of millions. Don't feel sorry for them, though. Should America be stupid enough to vote Republican - or third party which is a vote for the Republican Party - they'll take it out on the backs of the employed, from middle class down to working poor, while collecting more tax cuts after the U.S. borrows more money from China.

This article turned your last statement upside down for me, because I also believed we owed China trillions. Evidently, out of our 14 trillion dollar debt, we only owe China about one and a half trillion dollars. The rest of our debt is owed to.......drum roll........ourselves. Yep, that's what it said, beginning with the enormous amount owed to the ss trust fund(?)?, medicare, etc. Now you know why so many pugs want to kill medicare and ss.
