Why did Rick Santorum sweep all the races last night?

Pat Boone endorses Rick Santorum

Pat Boone is rooting for Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, the singer
announced over the weekend.

"I am excited to endorse Rick Santorum for president. I've known Rick for many years,
and Rick has been a consistent defender of conservatism and the values our great nation
was founded upon,” Boone said in a statement provided by the Santorum campaign on Sunday.

Comparing the former senator to Ronald Reagan, the 77-year-old singer said Santorum is
“experienced, honest, and deeply principled.”

Happy about the nod, Santorum said in the release, "I am proud to receive Pat's endorsement
today. Pat has been a stalwart advocate for conservatism dating back to his days campaigning
for Ronald Reagan in California. I always enjoyed working with Pat during my time in the Senate
and look forward to working with him moving forward as we look to restore core American principles
to the Oval Office this November."

The evangelical GOP base voters always turn out, and they did last night, for Santorum.

Not good news for Mitt and Newt.

Worse news for the GOP at large: the rank-and-file GOP voters stayed home, probably because they're disgusted by their options.

So much for all that GOP voter enthusiasm we heard about last year.

Rick lost PA by double digits in his last senate race.

Mitt had Tim "Good and Pawlenty" endorsement in Minnesota.

And the voter turn out has been way down in state after state.
