The Mitt Romney humiliation in perspective
Looking at the vote totals, instead of percentages, which takes into account voter turnout, the numbers are even worse for Romney, as this graphic produced by ThinkProgress Adam Peck shows:

The Mitt Romney humiliation in perspective

Mitt Romney's 2008 totals (via CNN)
How bad was Mitt Romney's night?
In 2012 in CO, Romney got 54% of the votes he got in 2008.
In 2012 in MN, Romney got 31% of the votes he got in 2008.
In 2012 in MO, Romney got 37% of the votes he got in 2008.
Rick Santorum had a good night but he won't be the nominee. The Republicans want to make this an election about social issues for a reason. Romney's got no juice, and the numbers make that pretty clear. But there's nowhere else for the Republicans to turn to.
