LOL: White House Mocks GOP’s Obamacare Hashtag (PHOTO)

White House Mocks GOP’s Obamacare Hashtag (PHOTO)

When Republicans on Thursday sought to highlight their latest repeal effort by encouraging Twitter followers to describe "Obamacare" in three words, the White House decided to get in on the action.

With the GOP-promoted hashtag included, the White House's official Twitter account posted a reminder that the Affordable Care Act still carries the force of law:

A number of prominent Republicans, including House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), promoted the hashtag:

Speaker John Boehner ✔ @SpeakerBoehner

#ObamaCareinThreeWords --> Repeal for jobs
2:20 PM - 16 May 2013

68 Retweets 17 favorites

Update: Speaker Boehner's Twitter account responds, echoing his "arrogance of power" comment earlier today.

Looks like Boehner responded before thinking, and then realized, "Oh shit! I should use our talking point."

Fun, from the comments at TPM:

They have lost their minds & are off &running with the people are losing jobs because of Obamacare. This is due to a hospital in Missouri that had to lay off 129 people because of them needing to cover some cash flow issues.of course a nurse who was laid off gave an interview stated it was because of Obamacare.

Disclaimer: I found out about this story because I follow some of the most notable GOP/TP reps on Twitter so I can debunk their lies immediately if only for the hope of saving at least one sad little hater.

Now back to the story so Rep. Steve Stockman posted this story stating Obamacare is costing jobs. Yada yada, the nurse comes on blames Obama & not 15 secs later the hospital rep clearly explains that all of these layoffs would have been avoided if the state would have taken the federal govs medicaid expansion.

There really needs to be a way to hold the Reps feet to the fire. The only possibly true statement I have seen from Stockman had to do with a rest.having good bbq.

sorry for you some in your state has just sent a jerk to the Congress.
I think you know whom I'm referring to.

However, that's nifty that you follow-and-correct Rep. tweets.
Keep us informed.

We settled in SC because we are military I'm being medically discharged not because of war wounds but because KBR & Halliburton poisoned us while we were deployed. We both came in long before 9/11. It's no better trust me but with parents getting old in FL we can't move back to WA so I just prefer to spead my liberal love around the red states & accept it for what it is.

Since the House was already wasting $1.45 million today repealing Obamcare (that's for a grand total of $54 million on 37 votes), apparently Rep. Darrell Issa decided to waste some time on Twitter, too. So he posted the above tweet.

You can probably guess what happened next.
