Who should be investigated?
While House Republicans hold their 37th vote to repeal Obamacare today, ThinkProgress has tallied the current cost of those 37 votes and it comes out to $55 million.
Last year, CBS News calculated that the number of hours spent on 33 repeal votes then roughly 80 hours, or two full work weeks cost taxpayers an estimated $48 million. Since then, Republicans have held three more votes (another $4.5 million) and will add another $1.5 million with their latest.
And lets not forget the only reason theyre wasting the time and money on todays vote is because the freshmen demand it.
Weve got 17 new members that have not had the opportunity to vote on the Presidents health care law, Boehner said, referring to next weeks ACA repeal vote. Frankly theyve been asking for an opportunity to vote on it, and were going to give it to them.
Yet another declaration from the GOP that they want to deny healthcare to millions of Americans is clearly less important than the latest faux scandal.
