I'm sure Rep. Rodne (R-Bigot) enjoyed the e-mail I just sent him. He believes that marriage is for child-rearing. We have been married for eighteen years, and we were married in Washington State. We do not have children, by choice.

It is none of his business why any other consenting adult chooses to marry. It is none of his business whether or not we have children. It is none of his business how we chose to form our family.

I am so, so tired of the right-wing and their heated defense of the "sanctity of marriage". It's hilarious to see how many of the shining lights of the GOP certainly don't believe in that "sanctity".

I'm looking forward to the re-election campaign of every bigot who's gotten to their feet - on camera - to argue the most ridiculous objections to two consenting adults being able to marry.

It would be nice if the vote could come anytime soon.

...who's just down the road from us, who's arguing that approving gay marriage would be akin to making a financial investment that would ruin you. (How typically Republican - equating everything to investments.)

It'll be fun to listen to them try desperately to disassociate themselves from their bigoted and ridiculous comments when those who support marriage equality field candidates to run against them.

Hargrove is an ASS. "I'm telling the truth in love?" Uh, that's the phrase those I knew at Bible college would typically use before lambasting another person. It has nothing to do with "love". It's everything to do with thinking they're right.

I won't sign their petition. They can't field enough signatures east of the mountains, either.

The comments are unbelievable. Evidently, these folks have no idea the rest of us VOTE.

I really hope I run into someone collecting signatures. I really, really do.

I can't wait to see Washington become the 8th place in the United States to move forward with marriage equality. 41 million Americans will then live somewhere where there is marriage for same-sex couples.

...I'm a Christian (and, for that matter, a member of the clergy), but I'm amazed at the number of legislators who apparently believe that it's a valid argument to simply say "this bill must be defeated because God/Jesus/the Bible/my pastor say it's wrong."

Wonderful news! Governor Gregoire has been very strong on supporting this and I am so glad to see this pass.

Congrats to all those in Washington State who worked so hard to see this come about.
