A heart!
To the person who gave me the heart -- I want you to know that you have given much!
This past week was hard as two of my friends succumbed to breast cancer, making much more bitter the frustrations of watching Komen v Good Sense. I'm a lung cancer survivor, and my mother (age 92) had her second mastectomy in 2001. So, yes, I take it personally when any person or group seeks the demise of any entity that strives to keep people alive. But then, I also take personally the generosity that strives to support diagnostic and healing work. So I thank you for lifting some of the heaviness of the last few days, and for helping to preserve lives. Thank you!
