What Gingrich is up to has nothing to do with facts and everything to do with using language to plant memes and leverage the racism within large segments of the Republican base.

But given that he lives in the past, I'm sure the fact that it's mostly backfiring on him and is absurdly transparent to most people, must be pretty confusing to him.
