IF I were a robot I'd be...

Sound off. I was asked today what kind of robot I would be. It got me to thinking.

It's a BS poll because it didn't include Marvin, the depressed robot from "Hitchhiker."

Don't mind me, I'll just stand in the corner and wait to rust solid.

Thanks, Warpy, for reminding me of his name.

It's him or Kryten from Red Dwarf:

HAL from 2001, the WOPR from Wargames or Antrax from the book of the same name. The latter is most likely given the number of books I am constantly tripping over, but refuse to get rid of because I like having knowledge at hand.

Of course, two of those three are villains and the other nearly started WW III, so perhaps I should have somebody unplug me just to be safe.

One of the best American animated movies in a long time, and since. Plus, it was "old skool" animation, not 3D (not that's there's no good 3D, only that it's all we get anymore, other than anime from Miyazaki.)

Not sure what would happen to him after he reassembled. I would assume he'd refuse military work, and what could they do to force him that way?

He'd probably work for Dean, finding derelict vehicles, making abstract art, and eating leftover metal
