This award-winning documentary, Seeds of Death, exposes the lies about GMOs and pulls back the curtains to witness our planet's future if Big Agriculture's new green revolution becomes our dominant food supply.
A Question and Answer fact sheet deconstructing Monsanto's GM claims and Big Agriculture's propaganda to accompany the film is available online:

Edit: oh, I almost forgot. He's of course an anti-vax nutbar, and an AIDS denier.
Gary Null has zero credibility.

(44,273 posts)The anti-GMO, anti-Monsanto movement is filled with anti-science cranks. You should run, not walk, away from anything to do with Gary Null.

(180 posts)"And by the way, it's so funny that Keith Kloor tries to make Null like like nothing but a money-grubbing huckster by including a photograph of a bottle of Null's brand of vitamin supplements. AND YET, Kloor totally doesn't even MENTION that Monsanto is attempting to make inconceivable multi-billions by patenting the genome of life, and suing farmers who try to re-plant their seed, as would occur in nature. Null's vitamin business is negligible and meaningless in the face of Monsanto's inconceivable greed, recklessness, and disregard for human life. "

(180 posts)And I don't care where the message is from as far as the message is true. And you don't care if the GMO crops are from Monsanto because you think GMOs are good.

(180 posts)or from similar corporations. They should be banned. If the origin of into is not acceptable, why then you want to accept GMO? Double standard

(44,273 posts)Researchers are using a genetically modified herpes virus to attack ovarian and breast cancers, and they're not controlled by Monsanto, or any other similar corporation.
And you think it should be banned. You sound like George Bush talking about stem cells.

(44,273 posts)I don't need to go to an AIDS denier quack to tell me that. There are lots of reputable journalists and scientists talking, rationally, about Monsanto and GMOs. Go and find some of them.
But all too often, it's the right wing libertarian, crank, anti-vax, anti-fluoridation, AIDS denialist, supplement pushers who get promoted by posters like you.
Give us some Alex Jones. You know you're just itching to.

(180 posts)Tell me this
1) Do you think it is safe to change genes and release food without testing
2) Do you think Monsanto has done long term studies of the effects of these foods
GMOs might be good. But not those from corporations that don't test it enough since they are too greedy to make more money in a short time.

SidDithers
(44,273 posts)it was my hope that you, and other DUers, would more careful in your choice of sources. I know that countries are rejecting GMO foods, but when your first link (nice edit btw) is to naturalnews, it tells me that you really don't know anything about the issue, but are googling like mad, and posting the first links that show up.
Do you know anything at all about naturalnews, and Mike Adams, the nutbar who runs it? If you don't, why are you trusting what he's got to say?
Sources are important. Every day, we mentally screen our information based on source. We don't trust what Matt Drudge posts, or Tucker Carlson, or Fox News, or Bill Kristol or any number of other political writers. Why are we so credulous when it comes anti-science medical woo sources like Gary Null or Mike Adams?

(1,537 posts)It would be like watching a documentary that criticizes Obama and has interviews with Alex Jones or Lyndon Larouche. It undermines the credibility, even if the documentary was otherwise making a good argument.

(19,662 posts)The Green Revolution is 40 years past already, and the open-pollinated, heirloom seed producers lost. The future of our food has been in the hands of Big Ag since then, first with hybrid seed stocks (which don't breed true from saved seed) and now with GMO seed stocks (which will get you sued if you try to save your own).
Too little, too late.
