Ecuador Offers to Fund Human-Rights Training in U.S.

Coverage of Ecuador in the mainstream U.S. media continues to peak as Ecuador capitalizes
on the rare attention.

According to Reuters, a government spokesman says that Ecuador is willing to send
$23 million in "aid" to the U.S. to help eliminate "violations of privacy, torture,
and other actions." The amount is equivalent to Ecuador's annual gain from (newly
renounced) trade benefits with the States.
