The NRA and the arming of America.

The NRA has not been content with protecting the right to bear arms. They have been active in pushing laws that enable the carrying of firearms, sometimes open other times concealed, into schools, churches, public buildings and, my favorite- bars. They are consciously making America a more dangerous place on behalf of the weapons makers that are profiting from the militarization of our streets.
Whether it be their opposition to sane laws like pre-sale background checks or their offensive designed to eradicate all gun-free zones in this country, the NRA and their sponsors and allies are among the most pernicious influences in our national life.

4. Tampons banned, guns allowed at Texas senate vote

This happened yesterday...truly insane values on display.

Tampons and sanitary pads have been confiscated at the Texas Capitol gallery, where senators are due to vote on controversial new abortion legislation.
State Troopers told members of the public that the items were to be confiscated to prevent them being used as projectiles. Ironically, attendees were told licenced firearms would be permitted within the Capitol.

Didn't see any civilian military walking around.

Not worried.

I'm not an NRA member.

How is it that you are better informed than others, or think that you are, when you say,

"They have been active in pushing laws that enable the carrying of firearms, sometimes open other times concealed, into schools, churches, public buildings and, my favorite- bars. They are consciously making America a more dangerous place on behalf of the weapons makers that are profiting from the militarization of our streets."
