I hope this isn't about convincing a "lock him up" holdout why the others want an acquittal. Could mean anything.

Who said that a Manslaughter conviction couldn't be made due to culpable negligence? According to Florida Law he can be convicted of Manslaughter due to culpable negligence.

purpose of defending George Zimmerman. You have yet to find any fault with what he did and I find that strange. He killed an unarmed kid who was doing nothing more than walking home from the store with skittles. Do you really believe that Z was justified in murdering the kids for that?

choose to disobey a directive unnecessarily.

There was no legitimate reason for Zimmerman to exit his car. If it was a dangerous neighborhood, and Zimmerman was frightened, he'd have remained in his car and driven away.

You are a bigot and you don't belong on this site. Take your hate elsewhere. An innocent child is dead.

You're on ignore so don't bother.

Did they come to an agreement on a definition?

I would think that it was Voluntary (as a lesser charge) but there is also Involuntary, Constructive, Criminally Negligent and who knows how many other flavors...

Wiki snips:

The 10-20-Life law (Florida Statute 775.087) is a mandatory minimum sentencing law in the U.S. state of Florida. It primarily regards the use of a firearm during the commission of a forcible felony.[1] The law's name comes from a set of three basic minimum sentences it provides for. An ongoing public service announcement campaign has accompanied the law since its passage under the slogan, "Use a gun, and you're done."[2][3][4]

As of 1998, the year before the law went into effect, guns were used in 31,643 violent felonies in Florida. At that time, the mandatory sentence for using a gun in a violent felony was three years in prison.

The law went into effect on July 1, 1999, amending section 775.087 of the Florida Statutes.[5] In 2000, the Legislature extended the mandatory sentences to cover 16 and 17-year olds who fire a gun (during a violent crime), and those offenders with prior criminal records.[2][6]

Mandatory sentencing for minors. But that might just be my brain misfiring again.

Nevermind: it's just life sentences for minors that can't be mandatory.

It is very possible/probable that SCOTUS did strike that down on a Federal level but the state law Wiki page was never updated as an impacted statute.

Took a new job. "maidinmaryland" is no longer appropriate.

I had to move to the Great State of Ohio to spread the word of the Great Democratic Party to the heathens voting of John Kasich, et.al.

Got a new job in Dayton.

Tonight and tomorrow are leisure and then down to work on Monday!!

ETA: I grew up in Ohio, so it I am back where I started.

Thanks for adding to the blueness of the purple. Hoping this was a good move for your family - but as your neighbor to the (now) east, buckle in, because damn, son - you aren't in Kansas (O'Malley-land) anymore!

Please be sure and post new pics of the interior of your new abode so that Scarletwoman and I have the opportunity to critique the decore (nekkid or not - that portion is optional as always). You know we live for that.
