Actually, it was a brother of a friend who's been sending me emails. The one he forwarded this week was an op-ed by some Klansman named Woolridge about how Muslims and blacks caused Detroit to file bankruptcy.
I sent this email out a half hour ago to him and anyone else who ever caused me to send them a link to Snopes refuting a right wing racist myth over the past six years:
As darkness fell, police on motorcycles arrived with helicopters beaming their spotlights from above. Rioters were beaten and rubber bullets were fired into the crowd that had by then grown to perhaps thousands. The situation remained completely out of control for hours until members of the madly rioting crowd were either arrested or vacated the area.
You may have heard of this senseless riot on the news this weekend, but probably not. This wasn't black teens in Detroit or Chicago, this was Huntington Beach California and the troublemakers were predominately rich white kids rioting after the Vans US Open of Surfing contest held down the street. I guess it's not such a big deal then.
Take your pick of cell phone coverage on YouTube:

I sat on that rooftop cafe featured in several of these videos and sipped Rums & Coke when I was there a few years ago. Huntington Beach is a nice place to visit, but I couldn't afford to stay long.
I really enjoyed that.

What could go wrong. We see it after championship games too. A lot of it IS the booze.

(18,635 posts)My point is that if these were black kids rioting in Watts or the South Side of Chicago, I'd have to put up with emails from friends who want to complain about those people who voted for Obama.
They'd be calling for live ammo and poison gas, before we cut their food stamps of course.
