Crimes Exposed Must Be Prosecuted Before Whistleblowers

How can we get a law to this effect?

If the government tried to prosecute a whistleblower before the crimes exposed had been prosecuted, the whistleblower would be entitled to raise the lack of prosecution of the crimes exposed as a defense in her/his own trial.

It could provide that the statute of limitations applicable to any wrongdoing by the whistleblower would be suspended while the crimes exposed were being prosecuted.

(Our failure to think creatively about alternatives like this is a symptom of the extent to which we allow our attention to be preoccupied by the 1%'s diversionary agenda.)
